The 1 Pesa coin from German East Africa during the reign of Emperor Wilhelm II (1888-1918) is an interesting piece of numismatic history. 
 
Obverse: The coin features a German eagle with a crown above its head, surrounded by lettering and the date.
Reverse: The reverse side displays Arabic writing, including the date, encircled by a wreath. The Arabic inscription translates to "Germany Partnership" (although it was likely intended to be "Germany Company").
