From The Franklin Mint's “Coins of All Nations” limited edition: the Austria cover, holding a mint-fresh 10 Schilling 1978.
The coin shows the Austrian federal eagle on the obverse and, on the reverse, a woman of the Wachau in the traditional Goldhaube headdress (designer: Welz) — one of Austria's most beloved circulation designs.
The cachet is postmarked Vienna, 9 November 1978, and bears the Austrian 3 Schilling stamp issued for the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Dürnkrut and Jedenspeigen (1278), depicting the charging knights. The Franklin Mint Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Clarence E. Mosley, is printed on the back and certifies that the coin and stamp come from the issuing nation and that the cachet was date-cancelled in the nation's capital.
You will receive the exact cover shown in the photos. Only one available.
